Scalecoat Decal Setting Solutions

Finish your paint and lettering project with Scalecoat ProSet decal setting solution. ProSet helps waterslide decals soften and conform over rivets, seams, panel lines and other surface details on model trains and scale models. The 2 oz bottle includes a brush applicator for placing solution where the decal needs attention.

Apply lettering over a prepared finish

Start with a clean, properly cured painted surface. Position the waterslide decal using water and remove excess moisture before applying a small amount of ProSet as directed. Once the decal begins softening, leave it undisturbed and allow it to dry completely before handling or applying the next finishing layer.

Test your decal and paint combination

Decal films, printing methods and painted surfaces do not all react alike. Test ProSet on a spare decal and painted sample, especially with custom printed artwork, delicate decals or an unfamiliar finish. Do not judge compatibility solely by the model type: two decals used on the same locomotive can have different films or inks.
