Sanding Sealer for wood model surfaces
Scalecoat Wood Sanding Sealer is listed in a 2 oz bottle for preparing porous wood surfaces. Mix it thoroughly before use, including material settled at the bottom. Apply a thin coat, allow it to dry as directed and sand before moving on to your color finish. It can be brush applied or airbrushed.
If thinning is needed, use Sanding Sealer Thinner, part 10572. It is dedicated to Sanding Sealer and is not interchangeable with Scalecoat I or II paint thinner. Thin only as much as needed for your application and test on scrap wood from the project.
S-54 Quick Dry for paint application
S-54 Quick Dry is an additive for adjusting paint application behavior. Follow the product directions, use small amounts and test the effect on drying and sheen before treating a model. Do not use an additive as a substitute for proper surface preparation or the dedicated thinner required by the paint.
Complete the project with Scalecoat model paint and a tested clear finish. Keep separate pipettes and mixing containers for sealers, additives and thinners.
