Description

What's Included:

  • 3 sheets of film - Each sheet is roughly 3.10" x 2.5"
  • Each sheet covers on average 4 HO locomotives*

*Coverage varies by locomotive type and window arrangement.

Before You Begin:

  • Work in a clean, dust-free environment
  • Wash your hands to avoid transferring oils
  • Gather tools: sharp hobby knife (X-Acto or equivalent), tweezers, cutting mat, and window-safe cleaner (like isopropyl alcohol)

Installation Instructions:

  1. Remove the windows from your locomotive shell, if possible, for easier handling and better results.
  2. Clean the window pieces thoroughly using a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to remove any dust, oils, or factory coatings.
  3. Cut a section of the holographic film slightly larger than your window pane.
  4. Peel off the backing from the cut piece of film.
  5. Apply the film:
    • For clear windows, apply to either side (interior or exterior).
    • For factory-tinted windows, apply the film to the outside surface for full effect.
  6. Press down gently, starting from the center and working outward to eliminate air bubbles.
  7. Trim excess film carefully using a sharp hobby knife, following the edge of the window.
  8. Reinstall the windows into the locomotive.

Tips for Best Results:

  • Always use a clean, sharp blade for precise cuts.
  • Avoid touching the adhesive side of the film.
  • If applying to installed windows, take extra care to avoid scratching the locomotive’s paint.
